Nissan Motor Co., Ltd will introduce the world's first Around View Monitor, which offers the driver a bird's eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings in real-time. In Japan, the Around View Monitor will debut in the new Elgrand, scheduled for introduction at the end of this month. The technology will also be offered to the U.S. market on the all new Infiniti EX35 scheduled for launch this December.

This car is not exactly for someone who only needs to get from point A to point B. This one is for someone who needs to get there at extreme speeds and in extreme style.
The cockpit of the 2008 Lotus 2-Eleven is small and spartan. There's no trim to speak of, just a tiny leather-rimmed steering wheel, some aluminum pedals and a stubby shift lever. Snug down the strap of your helmet, tighten the belts of your racing harness and reach for the starter button.
The Lotus 2-Eleven starts instantly and settles into a jaunty mechanical thrum. Select 1st gear, ease out the clutch and slip quietly onto the circuit at Lotus headquarters in Hethel, England. It was here that Colin Chapman rolled out the Formula 1 cars that made Lotus the most innovative automotive brand in the world during a golden era between 1967 and 1978. But there's no time to think about that now, because the 2008 Lotus 2-Eleven is quick - savagely quick.

Underhood the new
GC now features no less than five engine options, one of which is an all-new 4.7L V8 that slots in below the 5.7L HEMI V8. The new 4.7L V8 produces 291 horsepower and 322 ft-lbs. of torque. That's more power and torque than the old 4.7L V8, plus it's more fuel efficient (though Jeep doesn't indicate by how much) and flex-fuel capable. Also available is the 3.0L common-rail Diesel V6, 3.7L V6, 5.7L HEMI V8 and 6.1L HEMI V8 in the SRT-8 model.

This one just hurts to watch. There are moments in this one where I just cringed and stopped it because of how angry I was. I kept wondering why the camera guy didn't put his gear down and help the people. Please avert your children's eyes and I am really not kidding about this.
Update (2007/04/09): Well apparently Google Video decided that this video was too explicit or something for their service and removed it. Or quite possibly the original poster removed it voluntarily. I have to admit... perhaps that was necessary. It was that bad.

So, on Friday night, a water main up the street burst, flooding the street. My poor purple honda was out there all night, and this was the result.

Check out this video. The driver takes his Nissan up an incredibly steep incline on the side of a sand dune. As he approaches the ridge, he begins to fishtail from side-to-side. Yards from the top, his vehicle tips over on it's passenger side. For a moment it teeters there, on the verge of rolling down the loose sand at disasterously high speed. The driver hits the gas for a moment and as the truck turns, the front wheels bring it front end forward at the right angle and he escapes being totalled.
The question is whether this guy knew exactly what he was doing the whole time or if he was just darn lucky.
