Update (2009/01/01): This domain appears to be down or for sale.
Last month, we mentioned VehicleFX.com, a seller of truck accessories. Today, we wanted to highlight DropHitch.com, a division of VehicleFX.com, bringing you an expanded supply of trailer hitches for your vehicle.
The first item to select is a trailer hitch to fit your vehicle and your towing needs. Trailer hitches come in class 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4 and class 5 ratings. Not all classes are available for all vehicles but the higher the rating the more you can tow. Just remember not to exceed your vehicles capabilities. Class 1&2 trailer hitches have a 1 ¼" receiver hitch opening while all others have a 2" receiver hitch opening.
Search for Trailer Hitch.
Next, match up a hitch mount to your trailer hitch. These hitch mounts come in a variety of drop/rise configurations. Generally speaking a 2" drop is the most common for class 2.5 and above hitches. You may find that a lower drop may be needed depending on your vehicles suspension and trailer height. NOTE: If you purchased a class 1 or 2 hitch this part is already included with the hitch.
Search for Hitch Mount.
Select a hitch ball size that matches the size of the coupler on your trailer. Match the hole size of your hitch mount (see left) to the shank diameter of your hitch ball. If you tow a variety of trailers we recommend the switch ball system. This allows you to attach one shank to your hitch mount with the ability to change ball sizes quickly and easily.
Search for Hitch Ball
This item secures the hitch mount to your trailer hitch.NOTE: If you purchased a class 1 or 2 hitch this part is already included with the hitch.
Search for Hitch Pin.
They have a lot of great information detailing the proper selection of these towing and hauling tools. So, if you want to get it right, get your Trailer Hitches at DropHitch.com.
I've been seeing some unique advertising campaigns lately on the television where the car manufacturer will be featuring the new vehicle in a unique way, and then the domain name at the end of the commercial matches the advertising slogan. This is as opposed to the manufacturer's website. Nissan starts us off with Show Us Your X...
The idea here is that Nissan is generating buzz behind this SUV among the off-roaders and extreme enthusiasts. Their looking for owners and fans to submit pictures. What I find interesting is that they aren't just sending the user to the main Nissan site and then having them click from there, but created a whole new site and domain name specifically for this campaign. It's an interesting idea and it looks like it will pay off.

Update (2008/08/13): Added a screen shot from the current website. It would appear that the link to this site simply forwards onto www.nissanusa.com/xterra/ now. Shame.
The St. Louis show will also be a three day event, but this year we have added 50,000 sq. feet to our 60,000 last year for a total of 110,000 sq. feet of American steel and one of a kind customs. Huge draws to the shows will be the presence of celebrity bike builders and their creations, as well as the Missouri Bikini Team, and both shows will be advertised extensively on the radio, in print, and on billboards.
